Meet Our Physicians

Sam Wilson, PHD

Sam Wilson, MD is a family practitioner who is known for his listening ear, compassionate spirit, and excellent medical knowledge. He is board certified in family medicine and continually studies to keep up with current trends in the medical field. Dr. Wilson is always willing to mentor and teach medical students and residents. He has given several presentations and classes on various medical and pharmaceutical topics.

Dr. Wilson received a BA degree from Weber State University in 1975. He attended the University of Utah, School of Medicine from 1981 to 1985. Upon graduation, Dr. Wilson did a one year surgical residency at Providence Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He returned to Utah and completed his Family Practice residency at the University of Utah. He opened his own private practice clinic in 1990. After 24 years, Dr. Wilson retired from private practice and began using his skills in the home health and hospice industry. He currently works for Utah Home Health and Hospice.

Dr. Wilson is married to Mindy Perkins. They have 6 children and 23 grandchildren. Dr. Wilson loves to spend time with his family. He loves to watch all sports and especially loves to cheer for the University of Utah Running Utes. He also loves to golf and play the guitar.

Hannah Reed, FNP

Hannah Reed, FNP is a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner who is committed to providing exceptional care for patients and their families. Hannah’s nursing career began as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the young age of 16. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience caring for a diverse patient population in various settings such as the ER, Long-Term Care, Med/Surge, ICU, and Surgical Recovery. She has honed her skills and developed a deep sense of empathy and understanding for the unique challenges that patients face.

Hannah holds certification as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and remains vigilant in keeping up-to-date with the latest medical trends through ongoing education and training. Her passion for geriatric care is a central focus of her practice, and she strives to improve the quality of life for her elderly patients.

Originally from Maryland, Hannah received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2017. She then gained invaluable experience as a Med/Surge and ICU nurse at Madison Memorial Hospital before returning to her home state to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain University. After completing her studies, Hannah moved to Utah to gain additional clinical experience and to be closer to the mountains, which she loves.

When she’s not caring for patients, Hannah enjoys spending time with her charming young son and engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, snowboarding, and soccer.

Josh Halls, FNP

Joshua Halls, FNP is a Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about advocating for and taking care of his patients and their families. His journey in healthcare began in 2018 when he started working on the medical surgical floor. There, he gained experience caring for patients of all ages with a variety of different diseases and medical histories. The disease process fascinated Josh and sparked his interest in advancing his nursing knowledge, leading him to pursue his Family Nurse Practitioner license. He has worked on both medical surgical and same-day surgery floors at American Fork Hospital, as well as for a home health agency where he cared for patients in their homes. Josh strongly advocates for patients to achieve and maintain their healthiest lives possible, keeping up with current trends and research to safely provide individualized care. As a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, he continues his education with Evidence-Based Practice to provide the best and most effective care for his patients.

After returning home from an LDS mission in 2008, Josh attended Utah Valley University and graduated with a degree in Biology in 2015. He was drawn to the study of the human body, the disease process, and helping others live their healthiest lives. Through discussions with his wife, who is a registered nurse, Josh discovered his passion for helping others. He went on to earn his BSN from Western Governors University in 2020, and completed his MSN-FNP from United States University in the past year.

Josh is married to his wife, Jessica Halls, and they have four children. They enjoy spending time on the lake and skiing in the mountains. Josh loves sports and watching his kids play, and tries to stay active to kee up with them.
